Motiledge Corporation was formed in 2005 after the founders continually saw a lack of continuity and context-dependant information delivered to the mobile workforce.  While a number of software application vendors distribute products in the mobile computing space, there is a severe lack of understanding from the mobile workforce perspective concerning what information is needed while working remotely.

Current solutions in the marketplace typically provide access to what have traditionally been desktop applications that have been ported to a mobile handheld device and/or wireless laptop.  While this approach does provide advantages to a remote worker, it is severely limiting when something outside of basic email-type information is required.  The capabilities of the mobile workforce are therefore constrained only because they don’t have enough information to be more effective and productive.

After a number of years watching this need continue unfulfilled, the founders determined that there was great opportunity to effect the productivity and effectiveness of the mobile component in nearly every industry that requires workers to operate outside the walls of the corporate enterprise.  To energize mobility through raising the effectiveness of the mobile workforce will truly become the next revolution in computing technology.
